EPFO Assistant Recruitment 2019: EPFO Assistant Syllabus, Mock Test, Exam Date


Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill the position of Assistants at ‘The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)’, Candidates who are keen to apply can visit the official site epfindia.gov.in for details. The position of Assistant offers the salary benefits as per the 7th Pay Commission salary. Eligibility for the offered position requires the candidates to fulfil the criteria by the given dates. Candidates are expected to keep a check on dates to ensure the timely application for the position. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) will be conducting an Online Examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant.

Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) date – July 30, 2019, and July 31, 2019
Main Examination (Phase-II) date – Call letters shall be mailed to the candidates post the declaration of the Preliminary Examination,(Phase-I).

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AND SALARY in EPFO Assistant Recruitment 2019

Number of Positions: 280 are on offer by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation under the following categories.

UR – 113
EWS – 28
SC – 42
ST – 21
OBC NCL – 76

Pay Scale – Level 7 of Pay Matrix (Civilian employees) under 7th Pay Commission with Entry Pay-Rs 44,900/- plus DA, HRA and Transport Allowance and other allowances as per rules in force from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY CREDENTIALS

AGE

*Candidate should have attained a minimum age of 20 years and should not be more than 27 years as on June 25th,2019. (Age requirement has been relaxed for candidates belonging to (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC, Employees of Government of India, employees of EPFO and Persons with Disability as per rules).

EDUCATION

Minimum a graduate degree from an accredited or recognized institution as on June 25th.

EPFO RECRUITMENT 2019 – APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The only mode to apply is through online and candidate can choose to do so by June 25.

SCHEME OF EPFO ASSISTANT EXAMINATION

Examination for the post of Assistant is conducted in 2 phases

i) Phase I – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

Negative Marking: 1/4th of the mark assigned to that particular question.

ii) Phase II-MAINS EXAMINATION

*Note

I. Phase –I is merely for qualification and the marks shall not be considered in the final merit.
II. For each wrong answer, there shall be a penalty of 1/4 points.
III. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times
the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase- I.
IV. If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various
sessions will be equated following standard practice to adjust for slight differences in
the difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions.
V. The marks obtained in Phase – II will be considered for final selection.
VI. Similar to the Preliminary there shall be a penalty of one-fourth of the
mark assigned to that question.
VI. The descriptive paper shall be online and the candidates shall type the answers using the keyboard. The descriptive paper shall follow immediately after completion of an online objective test of Phase-II Main Examination.

CUT-OFF SCORES EPFO ASSISTANT EXAM

Cut-Off scores in Phase I and Phase – II shall be decided on the sole discretion of EPFO.

PROCESS FOR EVALUATION OF SCORES

The Cut-offs shall be applied Cut-offs in two stages:
a.Scores obtained in individual tests
b. Total Score

RESOLUTION IN THE EVENT OF A TIE

In the event when more than one candidate scores the equal aggregates marks in Phase-II, the tie shall be resolved through the following methods in sequential order.

i) Date of Birth, with older candidates, placed higher.
ii) Alphabetical order in which names of the candidates appear.

THINGS NOT ALLOWED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL

Banned items:- Electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drive, laptops,
calculators, wrist watches or any other communication devices or pen/pencil,
wallets/purses, belts and metallic wears including ornaments etc., are strictly NOT
allowed inside the examination hall. Any infringement of this instruction will entail
summary rejection besides legal action including debarment from future
examinations.
