What’s Trending in Patterns! The Latest Chit Chat. Happy Pi Day Tuesday. I will admit that math is not one of my strong points, but I like Albert Einstein. Happy birthday Albert wherever you are. Today is the annual physical and fortunately it’s at 8:30. My thermos of coffee will be ready and waiting in the Jeep afterwards. DH’s appointment is right after mine to check his BP and renew his meds. Thankfully I take no meds and hope it stays that way. Have a terrific Tuesday and a slice of pie. Happy Monday everyone. Why does Friday always get the happy Friday? Poor Monday. I like Mondays because of the possibilities that can unfold during the week. A semi-busy week is ahead. Tomorrow our annual physicals early in the morning. Fasting required. Enough said on that. Today I’ll finish page 3 on Angel Pavement and then move to “Hester’s Special Delivery” on 28 ct. DH found this cabinet and ordered it for me for St. Patrick’s Day and it’s marked down $100.00! This is a Long Dog sampler and I was happy to reach the half-way mark on this one. I’m enjoying the bright colors. Just to recap, I was embroidering Saturday night, and the machine kept jamming even though I removed all of the offended thread. After about five jams, it started making an awful knocking noise, metal hitting metal. I panicked. I took the entire machine apart and found a wad of thread way inside the machine. Then the bobbin kept falling out. I thought I broke it for good. When I took my beloved machine (which really needs a name) to Hinkletown Sewing for repairs, they were immediately able to get the bobbin to stay in properly. However, all of that banging of the needle against the stitch plate threw everything out of alignment. The automatic needle threader is broken too. It might be ready as early as Wednesday afternoon. I did get a tidbit of news at Hinkletown that I find exciting. Embroidery thread is 10% off through Wednesday! I need bright bold colors for the dog bandanas. No better time than the present to add to my thread collection. I love shopping with a purpose! Hi Amanda, I decided to start a thread here about the Access program in case there are others on here that can help you. It’s been over 20 years since I used it, so what I told you yesterday on Susan’s daily is from my memory. But, you asked about further restricting your fields of information into very specific parameters, if I remember correctly. You can entitle or restrict your fields, or columns in your master list, for whatever info you want for your business. You also asked about getting Access to find certain info. If I remember correctly, when you open Access, you’ll see a menu of all the charts that have been created from your master list, so all you’d need to do is go to the chart that was generated from that field of info in your master list. Remember, you’ll never add to these individual charts, they’re formed by the master list that you’ve created. You can create more than one master list, having one for each category if that’s what you’d like to do, if you think that some categories will have a lot of sub-categories, like sizes, dimensions, colors, etc. You could even have master lists of customers of each state if that’s what you prefer, but I think that would be more time costly than simply inputting that info into one master list and having it coded to break down the addresses into individual states, if that’s what you want. I loved working with Access and like I said before, when I figured it out, it saved me so much time in my job. I don’t have Access now or I’d play with it and send you some examples. Maybe there are others here who do and won’t mind sharing more info with you. I hope I haven’t just confused you. If there’s anything else I can think of or answer for you, I’ll be glad to help.
