International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is conducted to assess an individual’s proficiency with the English language while migrating to an English Speaking country. The Test is conducted for 2 hours and 55 minutes with Listening, reading, writing and speaking modules. On the basis of the performance, the student is graded with bands ranging from 0 to 9 which score is valid for two years. Now, after the candidate has taken IELTS coaching from any coaching centre whether IELTS coaching in Amritsar or IELTS Coaching in Ludhiana, etc, the student is all geared up and ready for appearing in the examination however to bring out the best in yourself, the student must do the following just a day before the IELTS exam:-

1. Relax and stop studying:

After putting a lot of hard work and brainstorming while preparing for the examination, it is very important to give your mind some rest. Since the IELTS exam is basically a skill testing exam and not a memory test, relaxation is very important. You need not read anything for the exam and nothing needs to be revised as such for IELTS examination. Do something which makes you feel relaxed other than studying or reading for the exam. By relaxing yourself, you will be able to concentrate better on the questions in the exam and your mind would be free from any kind of nervousness. Thus, it is very important to relax and stop studying a day before the IELTS Exam.

2. Prepare your exam material:

Rather than reading and studying for the examination tomorrow, it is important that you put all your needed things for tomorrow at one place so that you don’t forget anything at the last moment. For example, your passport, application form, your identity card, stationery etc. Further, it is important to check the examination center a day before so that you do not get delayed in searching the location for appearing in the examination. Thus, instead of forcing yourself to read even a day before the examination, it is indeed a good idea to prepare the needful material required for the appearance in the examination.

3. Have confidence in your ability:

it is a very important point which needs to be taken care of just before the examination. The student must be determined and be confident in his abilities. Confidence is the biggest key to success. Make yourself calm so that you remain focused and just believe in yourself. Here your parents and peers are the best persons to make you aware of your ability to build up your confidence. Being positive and optimistic will surely lead to scoring a good score in any competitive examination.

4. Review your exam strategy:

Now that you have already prepared and done a lot of study for the examination, its time for you to review your strategy as to how will you appear in the examination? What kind of questions do you want to attempt first or what kind of answers would you like to write depending on the preparation made by you? If you prepare your strategy properly, then there is no looking back. Once you get the question paper in hand, go through the entire question paper in a glance and finalize as to which questions you must attempt first. Secure your easy coming marks and then the rest time of the examination can be left for attempting the rest ones. Such kind of strategies formed a day before the examination will lead to better time management during the examination.

5. Use English in your daily routine:

Last but not the least, it is very important to make use of English language in your daily routine for
scoring a higher band in the IELTS examination. Whatever you have read during your IELTS coaching in Amritsar or IELTS coaching in Ludhiana would bear its fruit only if you make use of the English language in your daily routine.
